Online learning isn’t for everyone.
That’s why we regularly hold hands-on workshops covering a variety of topics. Whether you’re completely new to the career field, are preparing for your licensing exams, or have been licensed for 20 years, we have workshops to elevate your clinical skills.
Workshops
-
Learn how to perform a patient intake, otoscopy, tympanometry, and a basic audiometric evaluation. Trainees will watch demonstrations, perform skills with coaching, and analyze case studies to develop critical thinking skills for the clinical environment.
This workshop is intended for trainees who are beginning or in the early stages of their training.
-
Learn to interpret case studies, make recommendations, perform fittings, troubleshoot common issues, and provide continued care for patient/clients.
This workshop is intended for trainees who are beginning or in the early stages of their training. Completion of the “Intake and Assessment” workshop recommended prior to registering for this workshop.
-
Take a deep dive into traditionally difficult to understand concepts like identifying referral criteria, performing proper bracing, masking for pure tone and speech signals, and troubleshooting hearing aid issues. Instructors will be available to answer questions, coach, demonstrate best-practice techniques, and provide structured feedback while trainees practice their clinical skills.
Attendees will bring their own audiometer, otoscope, listening stethoscope, and preferred earmold impression supplies. Bringing familiar equipment allows the focus to be on the skill instead of learning the buttons/mechanics. Trainees will receive additional information after registering.
This workshop is intended for trainees who are further along in their training and/or preparing to take their licensing exam(s).
-
Learn how to perform various verification measurements, analyze results, make appropriate adjustments, and communicate the process/outcome with the patient/client.
We strive to create a safe learning space where no questions are silly and ample time is provided to practice new skills.
This workshop is intended for licensed providers who want to start providing verification services, providers who want to learn more, and would also be appropriate for trainees preparing for licensing exam(s).
